Science advances by challenging the prevalent paradigm. Thanu Padmanabhan, who was affectionately called “Paddy” did his science adhering to this dictum, and brought to light new pathways showing new vista. It is important to ask searching and challenging questions of concept and principle for gaining new insights leading to revealing perception and perspective. I believe that the Centre named after Paddy, “Thanu Padmanabhan Centre For Cosmology and Science Popularization (CCSP)” would adhere to his spirit of doing science of challenging the paradigm. I would first like to congratulate the SGT University on establishing a research centre celebrating the monumental contributions of Thanu Padmanabhan to science of gravitation and cosmology. I wish to extend my best wishes to the CCSP, and wish it all success in living upto the ideal it has set for itself.
